*Zombie*...Coffeeee... (or a lovely tea)

Morning,
Its about noon here now, but I've been up since 8. (That alone is insanity. Its summer. I'm a high schooler... lol.) But I went to bed about 4 (normal for me), thus totaling at 4 hours of sleep. Why did I wake up so early with so little sleep, you may ask? Well, I'm still a bit stumped at that one myself... I just woke up. And although I'm still very sleepy, I guess my body understood the amount of work that I have to get done today. :/
Today's schedule: 3 pm- eye doctor, rest of the day- 1. get class work done (didnt do any yesterday, so I now have a build up of three classes today, and two tomorrow.) 2. clean, 3. attempt to get some new products loaded to the store, 4. sleep.
1 & 2 are going to require the most effort and time.
But anyway, yesterday, I spent the day out and about with my best friend (Kirsten Elizabeth) and my sister (Tringte). Total blast!

(Kirsten, the Red and Obnoxious.)

(Trintge, the Shy and Rarely Photographed.)

We left home about 4, shopped at a local shopping center (Turkey Creek, and no... there are sadly no turkies... or a creek for what I can tell.), ate at this new little frozen yogurt place (Menchies, A-MAZ-ING), went to a movie (Year One, pretty funny, a bit stupid... def. a Jack Black movie.), and finally came home about 11. Then we just relaxed, watched some tv, and talked. Overall, a very lovely day.

Anyway, Menchies. Is. Heaven. In. Your. Mouth. Seriously. I'd look it up and see if you have one near you... because its such a wonderful place. And as the photographs above demonstrate my fellow companions' love for the place, let me further expound by a close up of the delightful treat itself...

Yum.
Oh, and the perfect end to it all: a fantastic breakfast cooked by my sister. I finally got some caffeine... but I'll admit the tea was a bit weak... I need to invest in something a bit stronger.
(And yes, I happened to spill my tea down into the pretty little plate... and didnt notice until after I took the picture! :P)

Alright, well, more photos, more words, more art later. For now, I'm off to get some work done! :D
Love to you, my little mittens.

IF: Sam the Worn and Weary

Erm... When I said "after dinner" I meant "after dinner, class work, andddd Supernatural..." Lol.
But anyway, I just wanted to share Sam with you. (No, I didnt get his name from S.N.... Well, ok maybe I did. :P)

Sam traveled far and wide. Sam saw all the wonders of the world. Sam met lots of people. Same gathered lots of things. But in the end, Sam just wanted to go home. Sam just wanted his bed. His floor. His walls. His roof. His fireplace. His treasured chair and rug. And he wanted his books. And one night, after such a long time of traveling, Sam curled up in the heavens. "Moon," whispered the worn and weary traveler. "Will I ever make it home?" --The moon didnt answer, and Sam fell asleep.

(This is straight off the scanner...)

(This is the outcome after some tweaking on photoshop. Click on it for a larger image and lots of details. --Try not to laugh at my coloring outside of the lines... the Kindergartner in me is sleepy.)
(And this is a detailed shot of Sam.)

Well, g'night my sweets. Hopefully more work tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

Its been awhile...

Hello,
Sorry its been taking so long for me to update :/ I'm in the process of adapting to my new super-busy-schedule. But, after July 4th, it should slow down just a bit.
Anyway, I just started my online art classes earlier this week: Photography, Illustration, Graphic Design and Retail (How you connect to the consumer) and they have completely taken over my life. My clean room... cluttered with new supplies that I have yet to find a home for. My friends... are claiming that they've forgotten what I look like. My sleeping patterns... roll into bed about 2 a.m., fall asleep around 3 or 4... and wake up at 12-2 pm. Lol. (Whether the latter is because of my new classes or because I stay up late watching Harper's Island and Supernatural with my family... its up for debate, lol.)
But, add onto all of that... my computer died. :/ The screen went completely black and refused to be fixed. So, we bought my sister a new lap top and I got her old one. And me and this thing are going to be battling one another until Dec. 5th (my 18th birthday!) when I'll be getting a new Mac notebook! :D (I dream of being able to say "I'm a Mac. :]" Rather than "I'm a p.c. :/")
Anyway, I'll be uploading some pics of some projects I'm working on after dinner...
Love you all madly. :]

Beene, Lood, Mouse William, and Mouse Wilber are pleased to meet you!

A fresh new batch of products just uploaded. Two little pin/ brooches and two new miniature paintings. And this is just what's going up tonight. Tomorrow (or sometime this week) I hope to get up book plates, more miniature paintings, and miniature clay sculpted objects made for either terrariums or stand alone figurines.
And next week…
Hopefully some stuffed dolls, more wooden ones, and paper dolls. :)
I'm going to be soooo busy with all of this, plus my four art classes, reorganizing my room, and reading for school.
Anyway, with out further delay...

This is Mouse William, the painter. He will follow you anywhere once you place him on your shirt, your jacket, your bag... or where ever else you put him. He tells sweet stories, and paints pretty little pictures. This is Mouse Wilber. He too will follow you where ever, and will keep you dry in rain or snow. He tells funny jokes and sweet stories and he, like Mouse William, is coated in glaze so to stay protected.
This is Lood. Lood is often found bouncing after butterflies... hopefully that one day he'll catch one. Or perhaps sprout wings of his own and join them...

This is Beene. He loves the Mushroom Fields and sitting and listening to birds chirp, bugs buzz, and the creek bubble.
All of these new little loves are looking for homes.
They are available for purchase at the store: www.miceandmittens.etsy.com.
Meanwhile, its dinner time here... and after all of that work... I'm quite ravenous!
G'night miluvs.

Land of Wibbilo

Deep in the Land of Wibbilo,
where the little Wibbilo plays,
You'll find the enchanted neighborhood
where laughter n' giggles fill all the days!
(That little snippet was originally from Winnie the Pooh, but I reworded it to fit my own little land.) :]

Original acrylic on wood miniature painting. These have been glazed for protection and come complete with the miniature vintage easel. Measures a petite 3"x2".
Anyway, I feel like a little production line the last few days. Doll bodies painted, glazed, glued. Clay arms sculpted, painted, glazed, attached (so that they may move around). Dresses cut, assembled, attached. Etc. And today, two small little paintings.
My Summer art classes start in a few days and I'm pretty excited! EEEEk! But... I'll be so busy.
Hopefully I can keep it all together.
Oh, and I took my ACT today. :/ Sooo hard. Ugh.
G'night miluvs <3>

New babies!

I just uploaded my new babies... the Jolies Filles (Pretty Girls) French Dolls :]
Each one of them are unique and have sweet little personalities and are very eager to find new homes.
They are original handmade clothespin dolls. Their dresses and bows are handmade from vintage ribbon and fabric. Their arms are hand sculpted from clay, and they stand at 4.5" x 1.5" wide.

This is Cécile. She enjoys long walks through the woods, reading Shakespeare aloud, and drinking purple soda-pop.
This is Zoé. She enjoys writing short stories, reading the Classics, and dancing around to loud French Pop.

This is Olivie. She enjoys shopping with friends, singing in the shower, and eating double chocolate chip cookies.

This is Élise. She enjoys sad love songs, Saturday afternoons, and black and white films.

This is Sophie. She enjoys sleeping in late, photography, and telling jokes. Her dress and bow are both handmade from vintage ribbon and fabric.

This is Aimée. She enjoys long walks through the woods, reading Shakespeare aloud, and drinking purple soda-pop.

And this....

is my baby. Adèle. She's partial to Jones soda, bands like Bright Eyes, John Butler Trio, and Playradioplay. She also loves my puppy Curtis. :] We get along just swell.
---
Anyway, this past week, my family and I went to D.C. for a little visit. And we had lots of fun. We cracked on each other, fought over who got to use the bathroom first, and some people...(no names mentioned)... battled each other with obnoxious whale-like snores. Lol.
We went to some museums, shopped, drove around and looked at the lovely homes, walkedddddddddd (my feet hurt even thinking about all of that walking!), and generally had a great time. :]
I also got to take a look at the National Art Gal. but sadly, I didnt even get to look through the entire thing. :/ Next time for sure, though! :]
Well, I have to go study for my ACT some more...
G'night miluvs!
