Beene, Lood, Mouse William, and Mouse Wilber are pleased to meet you!

A fresh new batch of products just uploaded. Two little pin/ brooches and two new miniature paintings. And this is just what's going up tonight. Tomorrow (or sometime this week) I hope to get up book plates, more miniature paintings, and miniature clay sculpted objects made for either terrariums or stand alone figurines.
And next week…
Hopefully some stuffed dolls, more wooden ones, and paper dolls. :)
I'm going to be soooo busy with all of this, plus my four art classes, reorganizing my room, and reading for school.
Anyway, with out further delay...

This is Mouse William, the painter. He will follow you anywhere once you place him on your shirt, your jacket, your bag... or where ever else you put him. He tells sweet stories, and paints pretty little pictures. This is Mouse Wilber. He too will follow you where ever, and will keep you dry in rain or snow. He tells funny jokes and sweet stories and he, like Mouse William, is coated in glaze so to stay protected.
This is Lood. Lood is often found bouncing after butterflies... hopefully that one day he'll catch one. Or perhaps sprout wings of his own and join them...

This is Beene. He loves the Mushroom Fields and sitting and listening to birds chirp, bugs buzz, and the creek bubble.
All of these new little loves are looking for homes.
They are available for purchase at the store: www.miceandmittens.etsy.com.
Meanwhile, its dinner time here... and after all of that work... I'm quite ravenous!
G'night miluvs.

Land of Wibbilo

Deep in the Land of Wibbilo,
where the little Wibbilo plays,
You'll find the enchanted neighborhood
where laughter n' giggles fill all the days!
(That little snippet was originally from Winnie the Pooh, but I reworded it to fit my own little land.) :]

Original acrylic on wood miniature painting. These have been glazed for protection and come complete with the miniature vintage easel. Measures a petite 3"x2".
Anyway, I feel like a little production line the last few days. Doll bodies painted, glazed, glued. Clay arms sculpted, painted, glazed, attached (so that they may move around). Dresses cut, assembled, attached. Etc. And today, two small little paintings.
My Summer art classes start in a few days and I'm pretty excited! EEEEk! But... I'll be so busy.
Hopefully I can keep it all together.
Oh, and I took my ACT today. :/ Sooo hard. Ugh.
G'night miluvs <3>

New babies!

I just uploaded my new babies... the Jolies Filles (Pretty Girls) French Dolls :]
Each one of them are unique and have sweet little personalities and are very eager to find new homes.
They are original handmade clothespin dolls. Their dresses and bows are handmade from vintage ribbon and fabric. Their arms are hand sculpted from clay, and they stand at 4.5" x 1.5" wide.

This is Cécile. She enjoys long walks through the woods, reading Shakespeare aloud, and drinking purple soda-pop.
This is Zoé. She enjoys writing short stories, reading the Classics, and dancing around to loud French Pop.

This is Olivie. She enjoys shopping with friends, singing in the shower, and eating double chocolate chip cookies.

This is Élise. She enjoys sad love songs, Saturday afternoons, and black and white films.

This is Sophie. She enjoys sleeping in late, photography, and telling jokes. Her dress and bow are both handmade from vintage ribbon and fabric.

This is Aimée. She enjoys long walks through the woods, reading Shakespeare aloud, and drinking purple soda-pop.

And this....

is my baby. Adèle. She's partial to Jones soda, bands like Bright Eyes, John Butler Trio, and Playradioplay. She also loves my puppy Curtis. :] We get along just swell.
---
Anyway, this past week, my family and I went to D.C. for a little visit. And we had lots of fun. We cracked on each other, fought over who got to use the bathroom first, and some people...(no names mentioned)... battled each other with obnoxious whale-like snores. Lol.
We went to some museums, shopped, drove around and looked at the lovely homes, walkedddddddddd (my feet hurt even thinking about all of that walking!), and generally had a great time. :]
I also got to take a look at the National Art Gal. but sadly, I didnt even get to look through the entire thing. :/ Next time for sure, though! :]
Well, I have to go study for my ACT some more...
G'night miluvs!

Hello, Goodbye.

Its always sad to see things I've made go. I put my time , my heart, and my love into my creations... and everytime I think about sending them away, I get a little sad. I finish something and I think... 'Oh, I like this... maybe I'll just keep this one..."
Instead, I package them up in pretty packaging and send them to new homes. Where I know they will be just as loved there as they were here.

And that thought makes it worth while.
Tomorrow, I'm shipping out my first order. Mitsy the Mouse and Penny the Penguin are leaving me to join their new owner. And they are very excited. Tonight, they'll spend one last evening with me, and in the morning, I'll bundle them up and send them on their way.
Wish them luck! :]

--- In other news, I've just finished uploading the Bookwormmies! Bessy and Belle are now looking for a home, so if you enjoy old inks, old paper, books, reading stories, and sweet little bookwormmies, then I encourage you to check them out the store.

Have a lovely night, my sweet little mittens.

Penny, no longer in my pocket.

I had my first sale today! :]

Penny the Penguin has found a home! EEEEEk! Three days into opening, and I sold something. I'm pretty proud of myself. Lol.

Sadly, I'll be waiting until I upload my prints to upload the bookwormmies. But, they will be uploaded! Have no fear :]

Until then, I'd like to say good bye to Miss Penny and hello to a hopeful future.

Bookwormmies.

Well, tomorrow I'll be uploading two new critters (bookwormmies) and I just wanted to give you all a little taste.

I'm Back!

Mk, so I had originally decided to quit Blogger, and to just move to Livejournal. Well, some one contacted my mom (Cerri at thelittlepinkstudio.com) and mentioned that she liked my work, but that it was impossible for her to comment using that site. So, I decided that since I "officially" opened my store yesterday, to start using every kind of site available for networking. Lol.

So, as of today, you may find me at:
Livejournal
Twitter
Tumblr
Flickr
and here!

Lol. Talk about busy with posting.

Anyway, here are some of the things I recently uploaded to my store:

Check them out here: miceandmittens.etsy.com! :]
Thanks<3>
