Anne & Her Coat

Anne's cold. And wishes that Winter would leave and let Spring time bring lovely flowers and happy birds. No more ice and snow, please.

IF: "clumsy"

Robert is clumsy.
Do you like him?
He likes you.
And messes.

Um, wow.

Since its been months and months since my last post, I'll quickly apologize.
I have been so busy with school, and everything else, that I completely forgot this blog. However, my other one (my inspiration blog on tumblr) gets posts pretty frequently. Not all of its my work. In fact, most of it isn't. I share my inspiration on there.
Anyway,
I'll tryyyyy to keep this one more up to date.
However, if you feel like you want to see more stuff from me more often, please check my flickrand my tumblr. Since I've recently started doing more artwork, I'm sure there will be more original work on both soon.
Also, quick mention of the sale still on-going in my etsy. And as soon as I get the work scanned for my portfolio, I'll be adding new things to the shop.

Ok, now for a quick update with my art.

Goodness, there has been so much in the last few months, that I only really have room for a few. Let me know what you think?

I've missed you, my loves.

Marshmallow Snot Jones

So yesterday, my family and I went to Target where we were looking for clothes for my little cousin. My family didnt like the clothes I picked out. They werent “for 8 year old little girls” or something like that. Well, I told them that when I had my own children, I would dress the really wacky then. Mom anounces loudly that I’m also going to name my children things like “Poop” and “Marshmallow Snot”. -.- Thus, I had to draw Marshmallow Snot Jones. <3 :]

Izzy for Short.

This is Elizabeth. Izzy for short. Just popped up on my sketch book after I’d been listening to some very inspiring French Folk music. :] She’d like me to tell you that while she’s very shy, she is very glad to meet you.

What I'm working on for classes.

This is for my Retail (How the Consumer connects to the Product) class. We had to design a window display. These would hang on canvases from wires. (NOT MY IMAGES. From a basic web search and the latest Urban Outfitters Mag.)

IF: Hollow

He sat on his swing. Watching. Waiting. For anything. But not even the wind came to stir him. So there he sat. Forever still. Forever quite. Forever alone.
Forever....
Hollow.

Quick Sketches

I'm trying to do a bunch of quick sketches every day. Just to keep my hands moving and my creativity flowing.

"Foon" or "Spork" depending on your preference.
"Hybrid."

On So You Think You Can Dance tonight, Kat said, "You big ham!" And this was inspired by that.
"You Big Ham."

Illustration (Class Work) Summer '09

Here's a quick shot of my project for my illustration class. We had to pick an already existing villain... so I chose the witch from Snow White. She's a creepy old lady. :/ Inspiration pic straight from the movie:
And here's mine. Sorry its off crooked. I'm camping so I dont have a scanner or anything like it and lets face it... I was too lazy to retake the picture. Lol.

More work later, my loves.
Sweet dreams.

Miss Mouse Daisy

Just a real quick post, because I have to get class work finished and get packed for our camping trip! But, I wanted to introduce the newest member of our family: Miss Mouse Daisy. She's part of this new little "Farmland" series I'm working on...
She's Mouse Peaches little sister, and she's learning how to cook. (Just like me!) She also loves sweet little dresses, but dont tell her brother! She'd never hear the end of it.
Have a lovely day, my sweet mittens.

Happy 4th!

Happy birthday, America! And happy 4th to all of its beautiful citizens! How has everyone else been spending their 4th?
Me? Well, I woke up late (as usual... I mean, I'm 17 and its Summer time...), did some class work, worked on a new banner for my blog, store, and flickr, and drawing in general. My family has been getting ready for a camping trip, so we didnt do a picnic, or any of that. :/ But, I've had a pretty good day without any of that.
Tonight, our celebrations include: watching Supernatural! (<3) style="text-align: center;">Anyway, wanted to introduce some new characters to our family. (Maria and Max the Mittens.)
(And Mouse Peaches [ in honor of the newest member of the "Ice Age" cast... Adorable movie, btw.] )
And Mouse Peaches is part of the new "Farmland" Series I'm working on...

Well, have a wonderful night, my sweet mittens.
:]

IF: Sam the Worn and Weary

Erm... When I said "after dinner" I meant "after dinner, class work, andddd Supernatural..." Lol.
But anyway, I just wanted to share Sam with you. (No, I didnt get his name from S.N.... Well, ok maybe I did. :P)

Sam traveled far and wide. Sam saw all the wonders of the world. Sam met lots of people. Same gathered lots of things. But in the end, Sam just wanted to go home. Sam just wanted his bed. His floor. His walls. His roof. His fireplace. His treasured chair and rug. And he wanted his books. And one night, after such a long time of traveling, Sam curled up in the heavens. "Moon," whispered the worn and weary traveler. "Will I ever make it home?" --The moon didnt answer, and Sam fell asleep.

(This is straight off the scanner...)

(This is the outcome after some tweaking on photoshop. Click on it for a larger image and lots of details. --Try not to laugh at my coloring outside of the lines... the Kindergartner in me is sleepy.)
(And this is a detailed shot of Sam.)

Well, g'night my sweets. Hopefully more work tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

Beene, Lood, Mouse William, and Mouse Wilber are pleased to meet you!

A fresh new batch of products just uploaded. Two little pin/ brooches and two new miniature paintings. And this is just what's going up tonight. Tomorrow (or sometime this week) I hope to get up book plates, more miniature paintings, and miniature clay sculpted objects made for either terrariums or stand alone figurines.
And next week…
Hopefully some stuffed dolls, more wooden ones, and paper dolls. :)
I'm going to be soooo busy with all of this, plus my four art classes, reorganizing my room, and reading for school.
Anyway, with out further delay...

This is Mouse William, the painter. He will follow you anywhere once you place him on your shirt, your jacket, your bag... or where ever else you put him. He tells sweet stories, and paints pretty little pictures. This is Mouse Wilber. He too will follow you where ever, and will keep you dry in rain or snow. He tells funny jokes and sweet stories and he, like Mouse William, is coated in glaze so to stay protected.
This is Lood. Lood is often found bouncing after butterflies... hopefully that one day he'll catch one. Or perhaps sprout wings of his own and join them...

This is Beene. He loves the Mushroom Fields and sitting and listening to birds chirp, bugs buzz, and the creek bubble.
All of these new little loves are looking for homes.
They are available for purchase at the store: www.miceandmittens.etsy.com.
Meanwhile, its dinner time here... and after all of that work... I'm quite ravenous!
G'night miluvs.
